These pages contain all the information you need to know about our 2010 productions of Plague! The Musical and Piramania! The Swashbuckling Pirate Musical.

Plague! The Musical was an Edinburgh Fringe Sell Out Show in 2008 and got some cracking reviews. It tells the tale of Clive Hucklefish, a young man who comes to London to seek his fame and fortune but ends up becoming an undertaker who unleashes the deadly Plague on London! This new version is slicker, funnier and deadlier than ever before.

Piramania! is a brand new musical that tells the tale of John Silverman, a lowly young bartender who gives up everything to become a pirate but soon finds himself engrossed in a world of murder, betrayal, incest and Welsh people!

We will be performing both shows in rep for the duration of the festival (4th - 31st August) in the excellent 160 seater C-1. There will be one day off during the run. We will also be holding London previews from 28th - 31st July at Upstairs At The Gatehouse.

Consideration

This is a profit share production but we will be providing travel to and from Edinburgh and accommodation whilst up there. The accommodation is of excellent quality and located in Haymarket - easy walking distance to the main venues. London accommodation will not be provided.

All performers at C venues are provided with a pass which gains free entry to any C venues show and discounted food and drink.

Flyering/postering (2-3 hours a day) on all performance days and participation in certain publicity events will be required. Some assistance with costume maintenance may also be required.

Casting

We are looking for a cast of 10 (4 female, 6 male) to perform both shows. The doubling up written here is only suggested and roles will possibly be mixed differently. Note that all parts are of very similar size in aggregate.

In addition to the actual characters listed below, each actor will perform in the choruses of Londoners, druids, beggars, corpses and - of course - pirates.
